Dangers of AI and challenge - What can we do?
A few Ideas:
1-Demand transparency from the people owning and developing AI as well as accountability from your elected officials
2- Demand international cooperation. This challenge must be confronted the way the nuclear challenge in the past was.
3-Personal responsibility. We choose how AI will be used in our lives and realms.
Know that every time you use it the AI is putting together information about you.
4-Stop the theft. There is a billionaire race to replace humanity. They are stealing human-created content. We have to demand an end to the replace.

4-Demand boundaries & Ground Rules To be in place
-AI cannot be used to manipulate, spread deceit, lies, and fear.
-We need mandatory AI disclosure when AI is being used in any interaction with the public, as well as any creation that has used AI.
-Companies must be legally liable for the AI systems that they produce.
-We need independent, objective third parties to evaluate. There must be tests and safety standards applied to all uses of AI.
-We must keep adapting guardrails as needed at the speed the technology develops.
5-Make big tech pay for the power bills and water bills run up for these huge data centers that they’re building. Otherwise, the consumer is paying for it out of your pocket. And you may already be.
Make no mistake about it: big tech is run by very wealthy and powerful people. Public pressure and government action alone can force these AI companies to do the right thing.
We need to hold government and company leaders accountable. As feeble as government seems to be we still need to get the government at all levels involved.
Don’t be naive. There is so much money to be made and power to be gained that, unless there is a popular uprising demanding that this be done right, that protections be put in place, it’s not going to happen.
We get to decide how this goes, and we need to choose something different.
The bigger picture
How do we build a society that can deal with a powerful technology? We need to upgrade our society, coming together and demanding coordination and agreement on norms.Creating an enlightened civilization (I call it a civilization of love) is the only hope we have to deal with this superior intelligence. The challenge demands a complete, unprecedented shift.
This is a developing list.
